12 MINUTES AGO — Palace in Tears as the Royal Physician Reveals the Truth 👑💔
It was just before dawn when the lamps of Arendale Palace flickered awake. A storm had passed, leaving the air cold and heavy with dread. Inside the royal residence, servants moved like shadows, their whispers trembling through the corridors. Everyone knew something was wrong.
In the east wing, the royal physician stood outside the King’s private study, clutching a folder sealed with the Palace crest. His face was pale. When the doors opened, Prince Rowan rose to his feet. “Tell me it’s good news,” he said, his voice cracking. But the doctor only bowed his head.
“Your Highness,” he murmured, “we did everything we could.”
The silence that followed felt endless. Then came the faint sound of a chair scraping the floor, and Rowan stumbled backward, his hands gripping his face. “No… not Elara,” he gasped.
For months, rumors had swirled about Princess Elara’s health. The radiant future queen had withdrawn from public duties, her appearances rare and brief. The Palace had offered vague reassurances — “She is resting,” “She will return soon.” But behind the gilded walls, the truth had been far darker.
Moments later, the King arrived. His face was drawn, his eyes red. He placed a trembling hand on his son’s shoulder. “My boy,” he whispered, “the crown awaits you soon, but no crown is heavier than the loss of love.”
Rowan said nothing. He sat beside his wife’s bed, where her favorite book still lay open, and pressed his forehead to the sheets. “She was my light,” he murmured. “How can I rule a kingdom when my heart is gone?”
Throughout the morning, messages of concern began flooding in from across the realm. People gathered outside the gates, holding candles and flowers. Reporters whispered of “a terrible truth,” of “tears behind the throne,” but no official statement came.
Inside the Palace chapel, the bells began to toll. Queen Helena wept silently beside her granddaughter, holding her close. “She loved you more than anything,” she whispered. “Remember her laughter, not her pain.”
As daylight broke fully, Prince Rowan emerged from the chamber at last. His eyes were hollow, his voice soft. “My wife fought with grace and courage,” he told the assembled staff. “She asked only that we protect one another. And so we shall.”
