Former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush love their roles as grandparents to their four grandchildren: Mila, Poppy and Hal from daughter Jenna Bush Hager and her husband Henry Hager, and Cora and Edward from daughter Barbara Pierce Bush and her husband Craig Coyne.

“Bad selfie, wonderful Christmas. 🎄🎄🎄❤️❤️,” Jenna Bush Hager captioned this 2023 holiday photo, which included the senior Bushes, both daughters, their husbands and all the grandkids. The following August, Barbara would welcome her second child, a son.

“Welcome to the world, Edward Finn Coyne. @laurawbush and I are proud grandparents of our newest blessing, born on August 4 and lovingly named in honor of his great-grandfathers,” George W. Bush wrote on Instagram.

Holiday Happiness

“Merry Christmas to all, and Joy to the World!” the former president captioned this 2019 photo that included both his daughters, their husbands and Jenna Bush Hager’s three children.

Baby Love

The two were overjoyed to meet their fourth grandchild in 2021.

“With full hearts, @laurawbush and I are delighted to announce the birth of our new granddaughter,” George captioned the shot on Instagram. “Barbara gave birth to Cora Georgia Coyne on September 27, 2021, in Maine – not far from our family home where Barbara and Craig were married. Cora is healthy and adorable, and we are proud and grateful.”

Glam Grandparents

At Barbara Pierce Bush’s 2018 wedding to Craig Coyne, Mila and Poppy served as flower girls. Barbara would go on to give her daughter a middle name, Georgia, in honor of her father George, and joked that he has nicknamed her C. George.
