Want fresh rosemary always within reach? This easy method shows you how to grow a strong plant from just one little stem. Let’s get started!

Snip a healthy rosemary stem about 15 cm long from a mature plant. Cut at an angle and strip the leaves off the bottom 5 cm.

Place the cutting in a glass of clean water and let it rest overnight to hydrate and prepare for rooting.

Set the glass near a warm, airy window with indirect sunlight. Rosemary loves light but not harsh rays at this stage.

Top up the water if it evaporates and change it if it gets cloudy. Keep it clean and at room temperature.

In about 7 days, small roots will appear. Let them grow strong for 2–3 weeks before planting.

Fill a pot with well-drained soil mixed with a little organic fertilizer. Dig a small hole and gently plant your rooted cutting.

Water every 2–3 days at first to keep the soil moist. Once established, reduce watering — rosemary prefers dry soil between drinks.
With just a little love and light, your rosemary will thrive in no time. Soon, you’ll have a fresh, fragrant herb ready to harvest!
